Avocado Oil Health Benefits

Avocados: They are not just for guacamole anymore. While everybody is comfortable with olive oil and its own role in a healthful diet, few people are well versed about avocado oil. Oil for oil, avocado has about the same nutritional pattern as olive, only tastier and healthier.

Avocado Oil Health Benefits:

-> First, about 70 percent of avocado oil is oleic acid, a sodden pale yellow omega-9 monounsaturated fatty acid with a lard like smell.

-> Apart from the outstanding work it does within the body – like enhancing sugar levels for diabetics – the acid is not as vulnerable at spoiling than other fats. The omega-6 to omega-3 ratio of avocado oil is about 13: 1. These essential fatty acids play a major part in blood clotting and inflammation.

-> The green shade of avocado is indicative of its own polyphenol content that is similar to the same volume as kale, but clearly much better tasting.

-> Furthermore, avocado can also be cholesterol free and contains no trans fats.

-> A 2005 study revealed in the Journal of Nutrition found the oil quite favorable, indicating that adding it to a salad of romaine lettuce, spinach and carrots could improve absorption of essential carotenoid antioxidants over the salad alone would.

-> Another study in the Journal of Periodontology found that avocado oil reduces inflammation in the gingiva, which helps prevent periodontal disease.
